Plenary IndulgenceStarting today the Faithful may gain a Plenary Indulgence by praying before an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the 5 Sundays preceding her Feast day and fulfilling the usual conditions: The faithful who devoutly visit an image of the Virgin Mother of God of “Guadalupe,” exposed in some church or public oratory, on the Sundays preceding the Feast of the Apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Dec. 12 th ) may gain: A plenary indulgence, if confession, receive Holy Communion etc. (Raccolta 422, 423)

‘Our Lady’s most ardent prayer (from the temple) was to penetrate more and more into that which is most perfect and most pleasing to the Most High and to fulfill and execute it in her actions.’ (Ven. Mary of Agreda)

‘I beg you to look and see what your habitual venial sins are! It is by these that the devil keeps a grip on you.’ (Fr. Vallet)

FATHER GERARD will be traveling to Argentina on a working “vacation” from 11/14 - 11/25. Fr. Benedict Hughes CMRI will offer Mass Sunday 11/20 only. No other Masses that week until 11/27.

Prayer Requests: RIP Suzuye Kiyama, Lorena Bowser, Cholly Moreno, Maria Flores, peace according to “Our Lady of Fatima’s Peace Plan from Heaven…”

‘…our Lord began now to each (St. Gertrude) that exterior zeal should have its limits, however holy the end for which it labored; that contemplation was not only necessary for the individual souls, but also to promote the glory of God in others, since prayer alone may effect conversions and sanctifications, while active exertion, without its vivifying influence, is of little avail.’ (Life of St.Gertrude)

‘If then a mother’s love would have availed Mary nothing without virtue, much less it will avail us to be a good father, brother, mother or son, unless we are in addition good in ourselves. Apart from the grace of God we can place our hope of salvation in nothing other than our own virtues. For if her kinship had profited Mary, it would also have profited the Jews who were His kinsmen according to flesh, it would have profited the city in which He was born, it would have profited His brethren.’ (St. John Chrysostom)
